Yorgos Lanthimos and Emma Stone have a new film, “Kinds of Kindness,” set to release this summer. Searchlight will distribute the movie, featuring a star-studded cast.
The anthology film reunites Stone with actors like Willem Dafoe and Margaret Qualley from “Poor Things” and Joe Alwyn from “The Favourite.” “Kinds of Kindness” is the fifth collaboration between Stone and Lanthimos.
Lanthimos wrote the screenplay with Efthimis Filippou, with filming taking place in New Orleans. Their previous collaboration, “Poor Things,” earned Stone her second Oscar and garnered multiple Academy Awards.
Stone has praised Lanthimos for valuing actors as individuals in his creative process. The duo is already planning their next project, a remake of the South Korean comedy “Save the Green Planet.”
