Adam Sandler will receive the People’s Icon Award at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards for his comedy career spanning over three decades. His notable roles in movies such as Happy Gilmore and The Waterboy have solidified his place in the industry.
Although known for his comedic prowess, Sandler has also impressed with his dramatic performances in movies like Punch-Drunk Love and Uncut Gems. Despite critical acclaim, he has not received an Oscar nomination.
Previous recipients of the People’s Icon Award include Ryan Reynolds, Halle Berry, Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Aniston, and Melissa McCarthy, with Lenny Kravitz set to receive the Music Icon Award this year.
The 2024 People’s Choice Awards are scheduled to air on February 18th, 8 PM ET/PT on NBC, Peacock, and E!.
