‘Shayda’ and ‘The Royal Hotel’ Take Home Top Honors at Australia’s SPA Awards

‘Shayda’ and ‘The Royal Hotel’ snagged top honors at the SPA Awards in Australia. The event celebrated excellence in the film industry.
The ceremony was held in Queensland and hosted by Matt Okine, with Werner Film winning multiple awards.
SPA CEO Matthew Deaner praised the thriving production community for its creativity and dedication.
Amy Parry received the Ones to Watch Screen Internship grant, and “Marungka Tjalatjunu” won the SDIN Award in the ceremony.
A list of winners was announced, including categories like Animated Production, Drama Series, and Telemovie or Miniseries.
The awards also recognized outstanding businesses like Wooden Horse, Werner Film Productions, and Princess Bento Studio.
Individual achievements were celebrated with Fiona Eagger and Deborah Cox receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award for their contributions to the industry.
