Don’t expect to see Kristen Stewart in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She recently expressed on a podcast that she finds the studio system for Marvel movies to be a “nightmare.”
Stewart mentioned that she prefers making big movies that people enjoy watching but feels that the Marvel system is too impersonal. She hinted that the only way she would consider a Marvel movie is if Greta Gerwig directed it.
The actor has been focusing on indie films and her latest one, “Love Lies Bleeding,” is currently in theaters. She started her career in major Hollywood movies, getting her big break in “Panic Room” with Jodie Foster.
Jodie Foster herself has also expressed her thoughts on superhero movies, calling it a phase that has lingered longer than she would have liked. Foster hopes that there will be room for all kinds of films in the industry.
Despite Stewart’s reservations about Marvel, she remains open to the possibility if the circumstances were to change, particularly if Greta Gerwig were involved. It seems like for now, Stewart will continue to explore different avenues in her acting career.
