Minnie Driver recalls being pressured not to wear a wetsuit during the rain machine scenes in the movie “Hard Rain” to show her nipples.
She expressed discomfort with the request but was made to feel isolated and belittled by the producers and crew.
Driver did not name the particular producers involved, and those credited did not respond for comment on the matter.
Costume designer Kathleen Detoro mentioned that wetsuits were indeed provided for all cast and crew on set.
Variety has reached out to Driver’s representatives for further input on the reported incident.
“Hard Rain” portrayed a heist during a storm and starred actors Morgan Freeman, Christian Slater, and Minnie Driver as well as others.
