In “Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers” (1989), we see the return of infamous killer Michael Myers. This time, he targets his niece Jamie, who is traumatized and silent after surviving his previous attacks. Dr. Loomis helps Jamie predict Michael’s movements, but a mysterious stranger also trails Michael.
It’s a routine slasher film with some memorable moments and a flashy, gory ending. The movie doesn’t bring much new to the series but still delivers the scares fans expect.
This installment falls under the horror, fantasy, and thriller genres, earning an R rating from the MPAA.
