David Wenham is set to star in the sequel ‘SPIT,’ following the success of ‘Gettin’ Square.’ The production has started in Gold Coast and Brisbane, Queensland.

Directed by Jonathan Teplitzky, the film features Wenham reprising his role as Johnny ‘Spit’ Spitteri. The movie delves into Spit’s adventures in an immigration detention center upon his return to Australia.

The film will also see the return of familiar faces like Helen Thomson, David Field, David Roberts, and Gary Sweet. Alongside introducing new characters to be played by Arlo Green, Ayik Daniel Chut Deng, and more.

The project is supported by the Queensland state’s Screen Finance Fund, injecting around A$7.2 million into the state economy and creating 120 job opportunities for local talent.
