James Mangold and Beau Willimon are teaming up for a new ‘Star Wars’ project titled “Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi.” The film will explore the origins of the Force, 25,000 years before any other known “Star Wars” project.

Meanwhile, Disney has announced a new cinematic spinoff titled “The Mandalorian & Grogu,” set to debut in May 2026. The spinoff is based on the popular Disney+ series “The Mandalorian.”
Beau Willimon, co-writer of “Dawn of the Jedi,” has previous experience with the ‘Star Wars’ franchise, having written for the series “Andor.” In the film world, he is known for projects like “Mary Queen of Scotts” and “The Ides of March.”
