The 2017 film “The Mummy” follows soldier Nick Morton who uncovers the tomb of ancient Egyptian pharaoh Ahmanet during a mission.
Ahmanet, resurrected, seeks to conquer humanity. The movie stars Tom Cruise, Sofia Boutella, and Annabelle Wallis.
Russell Crowe, Jake Johnson, and Courtney B. Vance also feature. Directed by Alex Kurtzman, the movie is the first in a series set in a Universal monsters’ shared universe.
Rated PG13, the film is a blend of fantasy, horror, drama, action, adventure, and thriller genres.
