Film Cube Zero (2004) is a prequel to Cube directed by Ernie Barbarash. Set prior to the first film, it follows prisoners in a deadly futuristic maze. They face perilous traps that lead to a fight for survival. Prisoners must decipher the changing prison to escape and survive. The story unfolds as cube workers witness the prisoners’ struggles and one worker starts to empathize with their plight.
