Emma Stone and Dave McCary are set to collaborate on an upcoming film for Universal Pictures. The screenplay is penned by Patrick Kang and Michael Levin from “Young Rock.”
The project will be produced by Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, and Dan Levine through 21 Laps, with Michael H. Weber also on board as a producer. Stone and McCary, along with Ali Herting, are in talks to produce through Fruit Tree.
Stone, a highly acclaimed actress and producer, is known for her notable works like “La La Land,” “The Favourite,” and most recently “The Curse,” where she also serves as an executive producer. McCary, on the other hand, has directed projects like “Brigsby Bear” and produced works such as “A Real Pain” and “Problemista.”
Patrick Kang and Michael Levin, known for their work on “Doogie Kamealoha, M.D.,” bring their expertise as producers to the project. Universal’s Erik Baiers and Jacqueline Garell will oversee the film’s development.
