Exciting Selections Revealed for Cannes Critics’ Week 2024

Cannes Critics’ Week opens with “Ghost Trail” and wraps with “Animale” as part of the 11 features lined up. “Blue Sun Palace” by Constance Tsang is the sole U.S. film selected.

The Special Screenings will include “Across the Sea” and “Les reines du drame.” “Across the Sea” portrays the life of a clandestine Moroccan immigrant, while “Les reines du drame” is a pop musical comedy.

“Ghost Trail” is a thriller inspired by real events, whereas “Animale” is a feminist genre film. Other films to debut at Critics’ Week are “Locust” and “Julie Keeps Quiet,” among others.

This year, the Critics’ Week will showcase a record number of submissions, with a significant portion from female directors. The event will take place from May 15 to 23, featuring a diverse and promising selection of films.
