The death of Carl Weathers has triggered a wave of tributes on social media.
With a career spanning six decades, Weathers amassed as many friends in the business as fans outside of it.
Those sharing their thoughts included one of Weather’s last costars, Pedro Pascal, who shared the simple line, “Words fail,” with a broken heart emoji.
Two of Weather’s costars from the 1987 movie Predator also came out to speak highly of the actor.
Weathers part in Happy Gilmore brought him into the life of Adam Sandler, who also hailed the legendary status of the star in a heartfelt Instagram post.
And fellow Mandalorian director Robert Rodriguez made particular note of Weathers’ “electrifying” performances and his “terrific” ability as a director.
