In 2002, “Minority Report” hit the screens, a sci-fi thriller directed by Steven Spielberg, starring Tom Cruise. Set in 2054, Cruise plays John Anderton, a detective in a special unit called “Precrime.” This unit arrests murderers before they commit their crimes, based on the visions of three psychics or “precogs.” When Anderton is identified as the future killer of a man he’s never met, he becomes a fugitive, uncovering a potential frame-up.
