Universal Studios Seeks New Talent for ‘Jurassic World 4’ After David Leitch’s Departure

Universal Studios is seeking a new director for the next “Jurassic World” movie, after parting ways with David Leitch. The studio is now searching for a filmmaker to take over the popular franchise. The film will feature a new storyline, and it’s unclear if previous stars will return.

Frank Marshall, the producer of “Jurassic Park,” is returning, and Steven Spielberg is executive producing through his company Amblin Entertainment. Leitch has previously worked with Universal on several films, but will not be directing the next “Jurassic World.”

The “Jurassic Park” franchise has earned over $6 billion worldwide. The next installment is scheduled for release on July 2, 2025.
