“Oppenheimer” and “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” won at the 14th annual Lumiere Awards, sponsored by Google Cloud, Barco Cinema, Microsoft and Ryff.

The event, themed “Masters and Magic,” celebrated and recognized directors and professionals in film, TV, and emerging media. It is known as the “Oscars for geeks.”

In the episodic categories, “The Last of Us” and “Star Wars: Visions Vol. 2” received the top prizes.

Walt Disney Studios received the annual Sir Charles Wheatstone Award, recognizing their contribution to advancing storytelling arts and sciences.

Jeffrey Wright, Darren Aronofsky, and Alexander Payne were honored with special awards at the ceremony, which highlighted the expansion of technology in filmmaking and storytelling.

The Lumiere Awards winners included “Oppenheimer,” “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,” “Godzilla Minus One,” “Barbie,” “The Creator,” and “The Last of Us,” among others.
