“Batman Returns” (1992) is the first sequel to the 1989 film. It features the Caped Crusader, Batman (Michael Keaton), facing off against the Penguin (Danny DeVito), who plans to turn Gotham into a haven for crime with the help of businessman Max Schreck (Christopher Walken).
Selena Kyle (Michelle Pfeiffer), Schreck’s secretary, transforms into the leather-clad Catwoman after surviving a fall from a high-rise window. She joins forces with the Penguin and Schreck to take down Batman and settle her own scores.
The film also features Paul Reubens, Vincent Schiavelli, and Jan Hooks in significant roles, with Pat Hingle and Michael Gough reprising their roles as Commissioner Gordon and Alfred the Butler.
Rated PG-13, the movie falls into the genres of action, adventure, fantasy, and crime.
