Film Tron (1982)
One of the earliest feature films reflecting the video-game craze of the 1980s – Tron stars Jeff Bridges as computer programmer Kevin Flynn. He becomes part of the game he’s programming, facing his boss, Ed Dillinger (David Warner), who also transforms into a character.
Bruce Boxleitner portrays the title superhero, a computer-generated entity. Tron showcased cutting-edge special effects for its time but didn’t achieve commercial success upon release. Rated PG, the film falls under the genres of Fantasy, Action, Adventure, and Science Fiction.
