Renowned filmmakers Kurosawa Kiyoshi and Fruit Chan will inspire at Asian Film Awards Masterclass in Hong Kong. Actor Metawin Opas-Iamkajorn will receive the Rising Star Award and premiere his film.
Panel discussions will feature actors and filmmakers from various Asian countries. The masterclass and events will take place on March 8-9, with the awards on March 10 and the premiere on March 11.
MGM+ announced Michael Katzer as the new Head of International. Katzer will handle international business strategies and operations, moving to London. Under his leadership, MGM+ aims to become a premium channel worldwide.
Katzer, a Harvard and Stanford alum, began his career at Disney before joining MGM in 2018. He played a key role in Amazon’s acquisition of the company. MGM+ looks forward to continued growth and success under Katzer’s leadership.
