Terrifying Encounters: The Strangers Rebooted with a New Trilogy and Haunting AirBnB Invaders

Lock your doors, because Lionsgate has released the trailer for the upcoming horror film “The Strangers: Chapter 1,” set to release on May 17.
The third film in “The Strangers” franchise stars Madelaine Petsch as a woman moving to the Pacific Northwest with her fiancé. Their plans take a dark turn when they stay at an AirBnB in Oregon.
They are tormented by three masked strangers who show up at their door. Other cast members include Rachel Shenton, Gabriel Basso, Ema Horvath, Richard Brake, and Ella Bruccoleri.
“Chapter One” is directed by Renny Harlin and is part of a new trilogy. The original “Strangers” starred Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman. The second film, “The Strangers: Prey at Night,” was released in 2018 and directed by Johannes Roberts.
Bryan Bertino wrote the script for the first film and co-wrote “Prey at Night.” He’s credited with the story for “Chapter 1.” The screenplay for the latest film was penned by Alan R. Cohen and Alan Freedland.
