Lionsgate and Amazon Studios are bringing back the stellar cast and director from the 2018 hit film “A Simple Favor” for a sequel.
The original film followed Stephanie (Anna Kendrick) as she investigated the disappearance of her friend Emily (Blake Lively).
The sequel will take Stephanie and Emily to Capri, Italy, for an extravagant wedding, promising more mystery and intrigue.
Along with Kendrick and Lively, the sequel will feature returning cast members and new faces.
The first film was a commercial success, earning over $97 million worldwide.
Kendrick is set to make her directorial debut, while Lively continues to impress with upcoming projects.
Director Paul Feig, known for his hits, is also keeping busy with new ventures.
Fans can look forward to the sequel’s production starting soon and streaming on Prime Video globally.
