Actress Judith Godrèche Takes a Stand: Files Rape Complaint Against Director Jacques Doillon

French actress Judith Godrèche filed a rape complaint against director Jacques Doillon, alleging she was raped twice by Doillon when she was 15 in the late 1980s.

She claimed the sexual assault happened at the home that Doillon shared with his then partner Jane Birkin during the shoot of “La fille de 15 ans.”

Godrèche accused Doillon of removing the actor and taking his place to decide there would be a sex scene between them.

Representatives for Doillon did not immediately respond to Variety‘s request for comment.

Godrèche also filed a complaint against director Benoit Jacquot, accusing him of “predation” and “violent rape of a minor under 15 years old committed by a person in authority.”

According to Le Monde, Jacquot denied the claims, stating they had a “loving” relationship.

The public statement by Godrèche is crucial in the wake of the #MeToo movement, as survivors of sexual assault continue to come forward and seek justice.
