Adult Film Beneath the Valley of the Ultravixens (1979)

Russ Meyer’s “Beneath the Valley of the Ultravixens” (1979) is a cult classic, known for its episodic sexual humor and lack of plot. The story is set in the fictitious town of Rio Dio, Texas, and follows Lamar Shedd, a junkyard worker with unconventional desires, and his sexually ravenous wife Lavonia.

The film showcases outlandish “cures” for Lamar’s desires, including a visit to a chainsaw-wielding gay dentist. Eventually, a faith-healer with enormous breasts helps him find satisfaction once again, in a series of humorous and absurd situations.

The movie’s standout performances include Francesca “Kitten” Natividad and June Mack, who deliver captivating and memorable characters. The film also includes comic fight scenes with uniquely colored blood for each character.

Despite the absence of the high-voltage action seen in Meyer’s earlier films, the inclusion of numerous naughty close-ups reflects an effort to cater to the booming porn market of the time. The film received an MPAA rating of NR and is classified as a Comedy and Adult film.
