After 11 Years: Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied’s Divorce Shocks Fans

After 11 years of marriage, Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied have officially divorced. Portman quietly filed for divorce in July in France where the couple resided with their two children. The divorce was finalized last month.

The couple first met on the set of “Black Swan,” where Portman won the best actress Oscar in 2010. They wed in California in August 2012 and share a 12-year-old son, Aleph, and a 7-year-old daughter, Amalia.

Portman stars in Todd Haynes’ “May December” alongside Julianne Moore and Charles Melton. She received a Golden Globe nomination for best actress in a motion picture, comedy or musical. Portman is set to star in Guy Ritchie’s heist film “Fountain of Youth” and Apple TV+ limited series “Lady in the Lake.”

Millepied recently choreographed Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune: Part Two” and made his feature-length directorial debut in 2022 with “Carmen,” a musical drama starring Melissa Barrera and Paul Mescal.
