Choi Yoonhee Takes the Helm at Barunson E&A: Leading Korea Sales Firm’s Berlin Expansion
Choi Yoonhee is the new CEO of Barunson E&A, a Korean sales and production firm making an impact at the European Film Market in Berlin.
Choi joined the firm in 2021 from CJ ENM, and was promoted to COO in April 2023. Barunson E&A, operational since 1996, produced notable films such as “Mother” and “Parasite.”
The company’s upcoming slate includes features from director Bong Joon-ho and projects from other esteemed Korean directors.
Barunson E&A has been aiming to expand globally since October 2022, launching international sales and production and finance arms.
At the European Film Market, the company is launching Korean animation film “Yumi’s Cells” and Indonesian horror title “Respati.”
Choi expressed the company’s commitment to working with leading Korean filmmakers and actively seeking global projects.
