Back to the Future Part II debuted in 1989, picking up right where the first film left off. The crazy inventor Dr. Emmett Brown returns, whisking Marty and his girlfriend into the future to prevent events that could harm the McFly name. In 2015, Marty tangles with a teen rogue named Griff, descendant of the first film’s bully Biff. Marty outsmarts Griff by using an air-foil skateboard and gets a money-making idea.
The film ends with a teaser for the sequel, as the professor time-dashes to the Wild West of the late 1800s and invites Marty on a new adventure. The film is rated PG and falls within the genres of adventure, drama, action, science fiction, comedy, and sports & recreation.
