David Nutter’s directorial debut was the fantasy thriller, “Disturbing Behavior.” The film follows the Clark family’s move to Cradle Bay, where strange things start happening at the local high school. Gavin warns Steve about the robotic perfect students known as the Blue Ribbons who control the school.

As Gavin starts behaving oddly, Steve teams up with Rachel to investigate. They begin to suspect the school psychiatrist, Dr. Caldicott, of being involved in a conspiracy. The film’s soundtrack includes a mix of alternative rock and songs by Barry Manilow and Olivia Newton-John.

“Disturbing Behavior” is a film that combines mystery, horror, drama, and science fiction, receiving an MPAA rating of R.
