Disney’s 1997 film “Hercules” is a musical comedy loosely based on ancient mythology. It follows Hercules, son of Greek gods Zeus and Hera, who must prove himself a true hero on Earth to become a god again. With the help of Phil, a satyr, he battles gods and monsters. But Hades sends Megara to thwart his path.
Gerald Scarfe designed the film, Alan Menken composed the score, and Ricky Martin provided the Spanish singing voice of Hercules. The movie is a mix of action, adventure, fantasy, romance, comedy, and musical genres suitable for children and families.
