The film “Sahara” from 2005 stars Matthew McConaughey as explorer Dirk Pitt. He embarks on a quest to uncover a lost ship in the Sahara Desert. Alongside his sidekick Al and scientist Eva, they uncover mysteries. The movie is based on a novel by Clive Cussler. Cussler was critical of the first Dirk Pitt adaptation, “Raise the Titanic,” released in 1980. “Sahara” is a blend of action, adventure, drama, mystery, comedy, and thriller genres. The movie is rated PG13.
