Gwyneth Paltrow Celebrates Robert Downey Jr.’s Oscar Win in Heartfelt Video Tribute

Gwyneth Paltrow shared a heartfelt video tribute for Robert Downey Jr. winning his first Oscar for best supporting actor during the 2024 Oscars. The two have been friends since starring in Marvel films like “Iron Man.”

Robert Downey Jr.’s win for his role in “Oppenheimer” completed an awards season sweep, winning best supporting actor at major award shows. He humorously thanked his wife, collaborators, and expressed gratitude for the opportunity.

Both Paltrow and Downey were last seen in the MCU film “Avengers: Endgame.” Paltrow hinted that her time with Marvel might be over, citing the importance of her on-screen partnership with Downey’s Iron Man.

Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige confirmed that Downey will not be returning to the MCU to preserve Tony Stark’s emotional ending. Downey’s next project is the HBO limited series “The Sympathizer,” premiering on April 14.
