`Henry Cavill: The Future of ‘Argylle’`
After being announced in 2021, “Argylle” arrives as the first film in a new franchise. The star-studded lineup includes Bryce Dallas Howard, Henry Cavill, Sam Rockwell, Dua Lipa, and Samuel L. Jackson. The film is set to premiere soon.
Cavill and Rockwell have not yet signed up for more films in the franchise. They are waiting to see how the audience receives the first movie before committing to future sequels.
If the sequels get the green light, both actors express their interest in returning to the franchise. Cavill even mentions that if Matthew Vaughn calls, he will definitely say yes to being a part of it.
Vaughn has described “Argylle” as his tribute to 1980s action thrillers but with a modern twist, and has cast Cavill as the lead, citing him as the perfect fit for the role.
Cavill clarifies that “Argylle” is quite different from the traditional spy tropes and characterizes the movie as having a unique and irreverent tone. The actor is balancing several projects alongside “Argylle.”
Meanwhile, Rockwell is also occupied with his upcoming film with director Gore Verbinski, for which he sports a distinct look during the “Argylle” press tour.
