Eleanor later directed her own films, including “Paris Can Wait” and “Love Is Love Is Love.” She began as an assistant art director and later met Francis on a film set.
Eleanor Coppola’s legacy includes books on the making of “Apocalypse Now” and a memoir. She is survived by her husband, Francis, and children Sofia and Roman. Their son Gian-Carlo tragically passed away in 1986.
