Inclusion in Entertainment: Ruderman Family Foundation Honors ‘Champions,’ ‘The Witcher: Blood Origin,’ and ‘All the Light We Cannot See’

Inclusion in Entertainment: Bobby Farrelly’s sports comedy film “Champions” receives the Ruderman Family Foundation’s Seal of Authentic Representation award for including actors with disabilities in speaking roles.

The award acknowledges productions practicing inclusion, like ABC drama series “The Company You Keep,” Momentum Pictures’ “Wildflower,” Netflix’s “All the Light We Cannot See,” and “The Witcher: Blood Origin.”

Farrelly was previously recognized by the foundation for advocating authentic representation of people with disabilities in the entertainment industry alongside his brother, Peter Farrelly.

The Seal of Authentic Representation requires at least five lines of dialogue for actors with disabilities and must be in or on the verge of general release.

Shaylee Mansfield of “The Company You Keep” emphasizes the importance of portraying multi-dimensional characters challenging stereotypes.

Sophie Holland, casting director for “The Witcher: Blood Origin,” stresses the need to represent the world as it truly is by including differently-abled actors in authentic and enriching roles.
