Intishaal Al Timimi Resigns as Chief of El Gouna Film Festival, Assumes Advisory Position

Intishaal Al Timimi, the chief of Egypt’s El Gouna Film Festival, is resigning from his position.
He will now serve as a strategic advisor to the festival, offering guidance and assistance in its development.
The festival was established in 2017 by Egyptian telecom billionaire Naguib Sawiris and his brother Samih Sawiris, who built the El Gouna resort.
Samih Sawiris expressed gratitude for Al Timimi’s leadership and contributions, emphasizing his role in the festival’s success.
The festival team will see Amr Mansi as the executive director, Marianne Khoury as the artistic director, and Andrew Mohsen as the head of programming for the upcoming seventh edition in 2024.
