Isabela Merced is taking on dual superhero roles in ‘The Last of Us’ and ‘Superman: Legacy’ as Madame Web. She posed at the world premiere of ‘Madame Web’ and is about to start filming for ‘The Last of Us’ in Vancouver. She will also play Hawkgirl in ‘Superman: Legacy’ in March.
Merced feels excited to work with the impressive cast and crew of ‘The Last of Us.’ She is thrilled to be a part of the project and has already had a great time on set. In March, she will start playing two characters at once when production begins on ‘Superman: Legacy’ in Atlanta, Georgia.
Merced is already familiar with the demands of a superhero role, having prepared for ‘Madame Web.’ She has been hitting the gym and integrating boxing into her routine to physically prepare herself for her upcoming roles.
Merced is thrilled to play a rare Latina superhero and hopes to be a positive role model for younger generations. She aims to be authentic and do her best, hoping it will pave the way for more opportunities for Latinos in Hollywood.
