Jan Mojto Partners With Nico Hofmann and Jan Wünschmann to Launch Exciting Film and TV Production Venture

Jan Mojto, a renowned German film and TV executive, is teaming up with Nico Hofmann and Jan Wünschmann to launch a new venture. The trio will produce German and European series and films for the international market.

Their unnamed partnership was announced on the eve of the Berlin Film Festival. No specific projects were revealed at the time of the announcement.

Hofmann and Mojto have a long history of collaboration, pioneering the TV event genre in Germany with successful productions like “Generation War,” “Dresden,” and “The Same Sky.”

Mojto, the CEO of Beta Film, expressed his excitement about the partnership, highlighting Hofmann’s storytelling prowess and their 25 years of friendship as the ideal foundation for future projects.

Wünschmann, a producer at Beta Film, emphasized the challenges in the current production environment and shared his conviction that their collaboration with Hofmann will lead to exceptional projects.

Jan Mojto, who took over Beta Film in 2004, oversees the production, co-production, and distribution of around 1,000 hours of new programming annually. Beta’s titles include acclaimed productions like “Babylon Berlin” and “Gomorrah.”

Hofmann, known for worldwide hits like “The Tunnel,” has collaborated with UFA and achieved success with notable limited series and productions like “The Physician.” He also served as CEO of UFA.

Wünschmann, executive VP at Beta and MD of Intaglio Films, is celebrated for co-producing award-winning works like “The Swarm.”

The partnership of these industry veterans paves the way for the production of compelling and high-quality content, signaling an exciting chapter in the European film and TV landscape.
