Lupin Star Omar Sy, Fast X Director Louis Leterrier, and Producer Thomas Benski have launched Carrousel Studios, an independent production company focusing on action, thrillers, sci-fi, fantasy, and comedy.
The company will use tax credits, European incentives, and brands to finance content. CAA Media Finance handled the financing for the venture. The trio commented on the inclusive values that the name Carrousel represents and vowed to create global content in an artists-first environment.
Thomas Benski, co-founder of Pulse Films, is an accomplished producer with credits including acclaimed projects such as “Gangs of London” and “American Honey.” Louis Leterrier, known for directing “Fast X” and the upcoming installment of the “Fast and Furious” franchise, has an impressive resume with hits like “The Incredible Hulk” and “Now You See Me.” Omar Sy, recognized for his role in Lupin, has a diverse portfolio with projects like “The Intouchables” and the upcoming John Woo film.
Represented by CAA, Leterrier is also affiliated with multiple agencies in France, while Sy is linked with Agence Adéquat in France. Carrousel Studios is set to make an impact in the entertainment industry with its unique approach to producing global content.
