Native American Media Alliance Announces Fellows for 9th Annual TV Writers Lab

Native American Media Alliance has announced fellows for the 9th Annual TV Writer’s Lab. The program aims to coach fellows on developing a pilot and skills required for TV staff positions.
Sponsored by Comcast, NBCUniversal, Golden Globes Foundation, Netflix, NEA, and Snowpants Productions, the lab includes workshops, mentoring, and seminars over eight weeks.
This year’s seven fellows include individuals from various Native American backgrounds such as Cherokee, Choctaw, Western Shoshone, Osage, and Navajo.
The Director of Strategy for the Native American Media Alliance, Ian Skorodin, highlights the lab’s success in supporting Native Americans in establishing their television writing careers.
The organization emphasizes the importance of indigenous representation in Hollywood and seeks to increase fair and accurate portrayals of Native Americans on TV through programs like the Writers Lab.
