Sylvester Stallone has given Ryan Gosling his blessing to star as the next Rambo. Stallone, who played the iconic action character in five movies, appears to have passed the baton to Gosling.
He recounted a meeting with Gosling at a dinner and revealed that Gosling expressed a deep affinity for the Rambo character, stating, “If I ever pass the baton, I’ll pass it on to him because he loves the character.”
Stallone somewhat humorously commented on Gosling’s good looks and expressed uncertainty about whether anyone would think he’s too good-looking to play the role. Interestingly, Gosling has previously expressed his admiration for Rambo and “First Blood” on the “Tonight Show.”
It seems Gosling already has an association with Stallone, given that the actor revealed Stallone’s wardrobe in the 1980s inspired Ken’s mink coat in “Barbie.” Gosling will be back in action star mode for Universal’s “The Fall Guy” on May 3.
