Taylor Swift has struck a multi-million dollar deal with Disney+ for her blockbuster ‘Eras Tour’. Disney is paying over $75 million to exclusively stream “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version)” worldwide.
The concert film, shot during the first three L.A. shows of the Eras tour, grossed $261.7 million at the global box office, making it the highest-grossing concert film to date.
The expanded version will debut on March 15 on Disney+, including five songs not in previous versions. This includes “Cardigan” and four acoustic songs, with Disney Chief Bob Iger expressing excitement about the release during the company’s earnings call.
The digital release on Dec. 13 included three bonus songs that were not in theaters, pushing its runtime to 3 hours and 1 minute.
