Jones shared that wearing the Juggernaut suit was mentally and physically straining, thus he declined a role in the new “Deadpool” due to the challenges it presented.
Despite his love for “Deadpool,” Jones couldn’t reach a deal due to budget constraints for the suit. He expressed his disappointment but understood the circumstances.
Jones lamented the changes to his Juggernaut character in “X-Men: The Last Stand” due to the switch in directors, leading to a diluted role and loss of interest on his part.
Disappointed in the altered role, Jones felt like an extra in the film and struggled with the reduction of his dialogue and storyline, ultimately leading to dissatisfaction.
Jones never reprised his role as Juggernaut post-“Last Stand,” as the character was later brought to life through motion capture in Reynolds’ “Deadpool” movies. He discusses this and more in his interview.
